You can make all the text in an inline or linked database be one of the notion font color choices like this
- create the inline or linked database
- write a space in a new line
- click enter and tab
- drag the database into the tabbed line. it is now in the same content block as the line with the space. the DB will look slightly indented off the left edge
- change the text color of the content block of the line with the space
